HOW CAN WE MARK OUR ORIGINAL WEDDING DATE?

Updated: May 25, 2020

Lots of our wonderful couples should have been celebrating their wedding this bank holiday weekend. We have been in touch with our clients in order for them to mark this, still special, day.

It has been wonderful being able to still mark this day with our couples and there are so many ways you can still make it special. At a time like this people really are showing the most amazing acts of love and kindness and it’s been a joy to be involved in the true show of ‘Love is never cancelled.’

We decided to share some of our favourite ideas to mark your original date at home!

  • Cook a lovely dinner together. It could be a version of what you plan to eat at your wedding or a favourite meal of yours?

Or check your local amazing restaurants, so many are doing amazing cook at home dinners. See Bristol's dreamy establishment, Wilsons, who are creating kits for you to create these meals at home.

  • Speak to your design team and we can safely deliver to your door a copy of your tablescape. We have given couples the linen, glasses, plates, glassware, candles , flowers etc that we plan to use on their big day. Making their dinner at home truly spectacular.

  • Why not wear white? Treat yourself to something new, which will always have a special memory when you wear this in the future. You could wear your veil, your wedding shoes or jewellery?

  • Drink your wedding wine. The wine you drink at your wedding normally holds a special memory for couples, start building that memory now and order yourself a few bottles to enjoy at home. A favourite of ours, Chapel Down.

  • Contact your cake supplier, so many are offering ‘mini cakes’ that the two of you can enjoy. (A gorgeous couple of ours had mini cakes delivered to their family and bridal party and they all enjoyed this together via zoom). See these from Poppy Pickering Cakes, so beautiful. Or try baking one at home together.

  • Why not write each other a letter. It’s easy with the disappointment to bring yourself to the present moment and remember how lucky you both are to have each other. Let each other know how excited you are to finally marry them and have your dream day.

  • Spend time together doing some wedding tasks which in the normal run up to a wedding often end up being rushed. Sit down with a glass of bubbly and think about your seating plans or plan your honeymoon.

  • You can even document your special occasion with a wonderful photographer friend of ours Sophia Veres Photography, who can capture some amazing photos via FaceTime or Zoom.

We have had so many wonderful requests from existing and new clients and can deliver bouquets to you and your family, to let them know you are thinking of them on a weekend you were dreaming of all being together.

We have delivered table-scapes to our clients, floral arrangements, flower crowns to disappointed little flower girls, the possibilities are endless.

Get in touch to discuss ideas to mark your date and we will do all we can to help.

Remember you will get your dream day and it will be all you have dreamt of.
